Four Generations!

That’s how long our family has been serving our customers and their businesses.

In 1917, our family opened the first Sutherlands in Durant, Oklahoma.

Today, HomeBase represents more than 100 years of expertise in helping homeowners, farmers, construction companies, property managers and industrious individuals of all types build, fix and improve the spaces and structures that matter to them.

We’ve also learned a few things over the years!

Among them, the conviction that quality and value are expectations, not slogans.

That’s why, in 2010, we began envisioning HomeBase, a unique retail experience to serve a wide variety of customers and communities.

In 2017, 100 years after our family opened its first store, we opened the first HomeBase location in Copperas Cove, Texas. Today, we have nine HomeBase locations, across five states.

At the heart of each HomeBase store is a dedicated team focused on quality, value and service. That’s why we stock top brands like Stihl, Benjamin Moore, Kohler, Yeti, Bad Boy Mowers, and Milwaukee tools. These category leaders are just a few of the trusted and nationally-recognized brands we carry.

At each of our stores, you’ll find someone to help you with dozens of other top brands in all departments, ranging from lumber to clothing to lawn and garden. Our customers expect the best because they want to get the job done right the first time. We couldn’t agree more.

HomeBase also takes pride in serving markets that are on the move.

You’ll find our stores in those places that take pride in building a strong community, value hard work, and like having their future in their own hands.

We currently have HomeBase stores in Lubbock, Amarillo, Copperas Cove, Plainview, and Mineral Wells, Texas; Alexandria, Louisiana; Ottawa, Kansas; Nevada, Missouri, and Laramie, Wyoming. Every HomeBase store is staffed by trained team members, many of whom have decades of experience in the home improvement industry.

When you shop at HomeBase, you’ll quickly see why we have some of the most loyal customers in the industry. Our stores are always friendly, well-lit, clean,

and impeccably organized. Our staff has one job – to offer you first class assistance, whether that means finding just the right plumbing part or searching for a perfect new plant for the garden. Our everyday low prices and unmatched customer service rival any home improvement retailer in America.

For more than 100 years, we’ve focused on family. The Midwestern values of hard work, quality, value, and a friendly disposition have served us well.

That’s who we are and that’s who we serve, and just like those hard-working individuals and their communities, we’re eager to grow into the future while keeping traditions alive.

So, stop by your local HomeBase and see for yourself how 'It CAN be done. Let's make a start!
