Scotts Turf Builder Starter Food for New Grass is a specialized fertilizer formulated to give newly seeded lawns the nutrients they need to establish quickly and grow vigorously. This starter fertilizer is also effective for sod and grass plugs, providing the targeted nutrition young grass requires during its critical early growth phase.
New grass seedlings require a different nutrient balance than established lawns. This product delivers nutrition with its 24-25-4 fertilizer ratio to promote root and blade development. Research shows that grass treated with this starter food grows up to 70% thicker and 35% faster than unfed grass, giving you a denser, more attractive lawn in less time and improving your seeding results dramatically.
