Gardner Bender Wing-gard Wire Connector, Square Spring, 14-16 Awg, Blue, Extra Large, 10-pk.

Gardner Bender Wing-Gard wire connectors are twist-on splice connectors designed to join copper wires quickly and securely. These connectors feature a distinctive wing-type design that provides high leverage and easy installation, making them ideal for electricians and homeowners working with residential or commercial wiring projects. The swept wings add turning torque and reduce hand strain, especially when making multiple connections.

Wire splice failures can cause loose connections, heat buildup, and safety hazards. Wing-Gard connectors solve these problems with a square wire-spring mechanism that automatically adjusts to the shape and size of the wires being joined, ensuring consistent pressure and low-resistance contact. The thermoplastic housing resists chemicals and corrosion, while the long skirt design prevents exposure of bare wire and keeps the splice safely insulated from external elements.

Features and Benefits

• Wing-Type Design: Swept wings provide added leverage and reduce hand strain during installation, making the connectors easier to apply than standard twist-on types.
• Square Wire-Spring Interior: Automatically adjusts to wire size and shape upon insertion, delivering a secure connection that resists corrosion and maintains consistent contact pressure.
• Steel Contact with Thermoplastic Housing: Steel contacts ensure reliable conductivity while the thermoplastic shell provides strength, chemical resistance, and durability.
• Long Skirt Protection: The extended skirt covers bare wire and keeps the splice insulated, meeting safety standards and preventing accidental contact.
• High-Visibility Blue Color: Bright blue insulation aids quick identification during troubleshooting and wiring projects with multiple conductor sizes.
• 10-Piece Quantity: Provides ample supply for contractors handling several circuits or homeowners completing larger wiring jobs.
